Project PathPlease note, This was written a couple of MDT Releases ago. I have not verified it all works on newer releases and most likely will not be able to help with any problems you may run into. I only leave it up on the site in case some will still find it useful. What is Project Paths?AutoCAD has a Nice tool that I feel is poorly implemented and somewhat misunderstood. If you set your files up with a Project associated to them, and then need to move some of the files in the future, it is a simple task to change that Path in the Project and it will find all the moved files without any fuss. For some reason AutoCAD has this buried with only a command line variable ...ProjectPath and the actual paths and Projects set up inside of Options. What My KWiK Project Paths program does is check the file every time you save to see if it has a project associated to it. If the file doesn't then the program will ask you if you want to set it up before saving. It also supplies a little easier dialog to set up the actual projects and something AutoDesk forgot... a method to back them up. In the past one of the biggest downfalls of Projects for me, was when it came time to install a new version or reinstall a old one you would loose all the settings you had made and would have to recreate them from scratch With KWiK projects you can back them up to a simple ASCII text file and after everything is up and running again, simply read in the text file and restore the settings in the registry.Download 142 KB File Date 12/08/01 |
Assembly TreeGary McMaster Is allowing me to share one of his VBA masterpieces The first one is a program that will output all the assembly information in a tree format to either Excel, or to AutoCad. This is very useful in tracking your file structure, as well as checking for parts with DOF's. It is one of those things, that once you use it, you will wonder how you got along without it. There are 4 versions in the file, 2 for MDT4 one works with Excel 97 the other Excel 2000, and the same for MDT5 and up Download Zipped DWF 149 KB File Date 05/11/01 |
