Lego's here for me. I had a couple thousand pieces, most of which ended up being blown apart by fireworks while doing other experiments. Although, later, Transformers held a unique engineering interest. Always facinated me that they were able to take 1 object and convert into 1, 2, or 3 other objects without adding any material (plastic laser blasters don't count :) )
